I Wanted A Dog

Boy with pegs in hair holding a kitten

Oil on Canvas - Framed

Size Approx. 70cm x 70cm / 27.5in x 27.5in

This painting is inspired by living in the 80s in the UK. When music was everything, and you had to make a life choice based on music: New Romantic; Punk, Mod or Soul Boy. It was also the time when I wasn’t old enough to make decisions  on my own and was heavily influenced by my parents. The cat symbolises this influence as it was then when we got our cat.
