I paint because I don’t want to lose the stories I’ve gathered over the years — the faces, the emotions, and the quiet moments that connect us all. My work focuses on the everyday — not the masks we wear, but the feelings we hide and the moments we share.
Every painting reflects something of me — memories, reflections, and perspective. I focus on faces as every one tells a unique story.
My paintings are bold, layered, and colourful because life is. My Statement Art is about connection — seeing, feeling, and remembering the subtle threads that bind us, the shared human experiences that are often unspoken.
Through my work, I aim to create a space where viewers can engage emotionally, reflect on their own lives, and experience the intimacy of everyday human connection.
Layered. Honest, Alive.
Each work is created on professional-grade canvas and unfolds over time through three distinct layers. Every layer is applied using a range of techniques and mixed media—often in unconventional ways. This process is a contemporary evolution of classical methods, drawing on the Masters’ use of underpainting and glazing to build depth, tension, and emotional resonance.
Each piece develops through three stages:
1. Charcoal — The Raw Presence
Loose, instinctive, and immediate. This stage captures the subject in their most unguarded state—direct, unfiltered, and free of complication.
2. Acrylic — The Inner Self
Bold and fragmented, this layer exposes true emotion. Energetic, stimulated, and reflective, it confronts emotional complexity and inner conflict.
3. Oil — The Masks We Wear
A deeply expressive final layer where realism and abstraction merge. Through distortion, depth, and reimagining, the subject becomes a Statement—one that reaches beyond likeness into subconscious presence.
Every layer removes certainty.
Every layer adds weight.
Every layer creates movement and energy.
Over the years, I treated my boardrooms across Europe and communal areas like galleries — hanging my paintings where conversations began, connections were made, and sales followed. I have held solo exhibitions in Kent and Frankfurt, and completed numerous commissions and produced a book.
In October 2025, I exhibited at The Other Art Fair, Shoreditch, London.
I am a member of the Visual Arts Association (VAA), shortlisted for their VAA 500 Award, and selected for the CEO Rise Momentum Programme.
